ONCE UPON A TIME IN NY

This has been quite a cool weekend for me. Last night I got to be a part of a historical event at Radio City Music Hall. I went to see the legendary composer Ennio Morricone in concert! (not that you didn't know I was going, unless you didn't read my blog!) It was quite magical! I really felt an amazing wave of energy coming from his orchestra (The Roman Symphony!) to where we sat. Just WOW is really all I can say. Hearing some of his classic compositions live was very inspirational. I'm still in complete awe.

As if that weren't enough, tonight I went to see Once Upon in the West, as part of the Morricone Film Festival, which features some of the maestro's greatest arrangements. This is one Sergio Leone's best, although you can make that argument for all of them, and seeing it on the big screen was a treat. If you're in NY you should really get out to the Film Forum and check out at least one of the outstanding films that are being featured. I may be there on Wednesday again, see you there?
